What about Monday?

By now many of those who are planning to come to Reunion 2009 have noticed that we don't have any events schedule for Monday, December 14 and it's not an oversight by us. Frankly, we haven't planned anything yet because that Monday is going to be an odd day.

What makes that Monday different from all other days is that we suspect many folks will be back home by Monday, so it's kind of the "outlier" of days. We don't want to schedule some mega amazing event that day because many wont be able to make it, but on the other hand, there will still be plenty of you around and all those folks deserve an event too.

So in situations like this, I turn to those who are in attendance and ask for suggestions for meets. We've admitted many times on the air that we aren't the smartest people out there (minus Len, of course) and so I'm betting there are some good ideas for meets we've overlooked. So here's your chance to be our meet planner and suggest an idea or two for December 14. Please post in the comments here your thoughts and read others' ideas as well. Who knows... we may just pick your idea to be an event!

More ideas

I had a couple more ideas while I should have been working...

If we ended up ni MK that day we could do a group MST3k on the Haunted Mansion. If we managed to get a whole group so it was just us in the stretching room and then a block of us on the ride?

Alternatively was trying to think of a MST3k that could be done in the AK but was drawing a blank there....

The other idea was a scavenger hunt in groups in one or more of the parks. Soemthing along the lines of riding and getting photos on an e-ride in each park visited, photo and autograph of a certain character and a peach tea from the China pavillion!

Monday Morning Breakfast at Trails End

First - thanks Matt for giving me access to comments!

Suggestion: Meet at Trails End for Breafast
Details: Everyone makes their own ADR's for around 9:00am
and see if we can take over the restaurant with WDW Today friends.

Kamikaze park touring?

An Expedition Everest meet sounded good to me....until I thought about the fact that it's Extra Magic Hours that morning, and I'll be staying offsite (yes, you can officially begin shunning me now, but I LOVE my non-Disney timeshare condo!).

Hey Mr. Len "Crowd Calendar" Testa.....which Park would be best to visit that morning? I've got a flight to catch in the evening, and thoroughly intend to make the most of my last half-day on campus. How about a half-day kamikaze touring plan?

And of course I'm guessing there's no rule that says there can only be one meet on Monday.....a bunch of the ideas posted here sound pretty fabulous to me.

A Brunch Meet Sounds Faboo...

We're not flying out until Tuesday morning, so we've got plenty of time to meet up with everyone for something. If people haven't tried breakfast at Wolfgang Puck Express or Earl of Sandwich at DTD, it's a quick and inexpensive breakfast that is outside of a park and doesn't require ADRs. Certainly a minigolf meet or resort hopping to look at the decorations would be really cool, too.

Monday

Orlando airport security line meet, since that is where most of us will be.

Some mainly unconnected ideas

It's not my favourite park by any means but I had planned AK for that day so I think it would be good to do some meets there

I was also planning on heading to Studios later that day (I mean there is only so long to spend in AK) and they are showing Fantasmic Monday night, as you haven't got a Fantasmic meet planned yet how about that to wrap up Reunion?

Or... just to throw a random idea out there, a WDW Reunion mini golf challenge!

12/14/09 Monday

A meet up where many WDW characters would come to meet with the WDWToday / MEI-Travel group.

Do the characters ever show up out side of the four WDW parks?

I won't be in attendance; but

I won't be in attendance; but I did have the idea of auctioning off the chance on eBay to ride Dinosaur with Matt with the ride happening Monday. Proceeds would go to Lou's Dream Team project.

A toast to Tonga Toast

How about meeting at Captain Cooks at the Poly for Tonga Toast?

O K. Tonga Toast

We will be there. At the Poly for Tonga Toast

WDW Reunion suggestion

How about riding the resort loop of the monorail, stopping for group photos at the Poly, GF and Contemporary resorts? Bonus: gingerbread for sale in the lobby of the GF.

I like the monorail loop idea

I like the monorail loop idea too since some may have certain parks planned for that day. (I know we have a Candlelight processional dinner package booked at Epcot.) We could visit the hotels on the monorail line and check out holiday decorations and have pictures taken. Also liked the breakfast at Trails End idea!

what to do on Monday, Dec 14

The monorail loop sounds like fun. Meeting for breakfast would be good. I would have to be ready to catch ME by 3:30pm, but I am game.

Since there seems to be a

Since there seems to be a lack of Animal Kingdom meets during the first four days, I suggest the following for Monday:

Early morning Expedition Everest meet
Late morning Finding Nemo meet
Early afternoon Matt & Len's drink two beers and ride Dinosaur meet

Dennis (ddindy)

AK

I agree with the Animal Kingdom Idea. I think you are Dennis from new pal. I live in Franklin! My Dad and I are going together. Looking forward to seeing ya down there, fellow hoosier!

12/14/2009 Monday

Breakfast , not in one of the parks. Some may not have park hopper tickets.

Dec 14 Monday

Something not in a park, So that you would not have to have a park ticket.

Something at a resort location.

Fake Len Testa Meet & Greet

Park: Magic Kingdom - Hub
10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Fake Len Testa Meet and Greet

Get a once in a lifetime experience to meet the real/fake Len Testa. Find out the inspiration behind the character and reminisce over many of the famous quotes that made you and me laugh.

Reviewing the many funny quotes and meeting the man in person would be fun. I suggested the Magic Kingdom because this is where me and my family will be that day. Not sure I can rearrange my schedule.
